Born and raised in Bangalore, she developed a deep passion for psychiatry early in her medical career. Since 2011, she has been serving the community of Trichy, Tamil Nadu, offering professional care and support to adults, adolescents, and children dealing with mental health challenges
Dr. Sunitha’s journey into psychiatry began after completing her MBBS from Kurunji Venkataramana College, Sullia, Karnataka in 2008. She went on to pursue a Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine (DPM) from NIMHANS, Bangalore, in 2011, and further specialized by completing her DNB in Psychiatry from ATHMA Hospital in Trichy in 2017.
Her philosophy revolves around making mental health care accessible for all, and she focuses on treating mental disorders through a holistic and patient-centered approach.
